DEEPFREEZER OF THE FUTURE

Diepvries van de toekomst The changing market requires adapted logistic processes and a continuous reduction of costs. This certainly concerns the deep freezer industry where logistic activities are contracted out from a to z to specialized companies. At this moment the logistic service provider Partner Logistics Europe realises a mega deep freezer project for Pinguin and Ysco. Isocab is responsible for the delivery and erection of insulation panels for wall and roof.

65.000 pallets

On an industrial site at Boezinge (Ypres) Partner Logistics Europe (PLE) works feverishly at a warehouse project in order of the deep freezer vegetables company Pinguin and the manufacturer of ice cream Ysco. This last one has just as  Pinguin, production facilities in the direct surrounding. The mega deep freezer of 65 meters width, 140 meters long and 37 meters high will contain 65.000 pallets. Good for 337.000 m³ of freezing space or the contents of three million domestic deep freezers.

Silo building technique

The deep freezer storage building consits of self bearing shelve structures to which insulation walls and the roof have been fixed. For this so called silo building technique the scaffolds are used as construction. The insulation walls and roof panels are erected by Isocab. The erection of the 200mm thick PU walls is executed by foamed-in omega profiles so there are no visible fixings at the outside. In this way a cold bridge free erection can be guaranteed. The wall panels are erected in lengths of +/-  17000mm.
