Mushroom Farm Cabane & Cie (France)

Cabane et Cie recently undertook the construction of a new space dedicated to mushroom cultivation, requiring a highly controlled environment.

This ambitious project, completed in 2023, involved the use of Industrial IND Insulated Panel, installed vertically for the walls, partitions, and ceilings.

Challenges and Constraints:

Mushroom growing chambers present specific challenges :

• Maintaining a controlled environment: Mushroom farms need to maintain high humidity levels and stable temperatures to ensure optimal mushroom growth.

• Perfect sealing: To prevent any contamination or water loss, reinforced sealing was implemented with silicone joints, ensuring the integrity of the chambers.

Industrial IND Insulated Panel:

• 4 thicknesses: 40, 60, 80, and 120 mm.

• High thermal performance, ensuring constant temperature maintenance.

• HDX 55 coating, specifically designed for mushroom farm environments, resistant to steam and disinfectants.

• Easy to install, allowing for quick and efficient assembly on site.

• The client chose RAL 6005 (Moss Green) to ensure the building blends harmoniously into the surrounding Landes forest landscape.

The project was carried out in three phases:

1. Building Cells 1 & 2: Construction of the main structures.

2. Cold rooms: Installation of dedicated storage spaces.

3. Offices: Creation of workspaces for staff.
